Eastbourne International Folkdance Festival 2019 and May Heydays, 2020
The last EIFF at Eastbourne ran over the May 3rd – 6th weekend and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. I say the last, because next year the festival is being moved to Evesham in Worcestershire under the new name May Heydays . . . at Evesham . . . the Folkdance Festival in the Vale.
You can find out more on the new website, mayheydays.org.uk, http://mayheydays.org.uk/ ,where you will also find pictures from EIFF days including this year’s festival.
Arrangements and programme for next year have been proceeding very well, but the government in June threw a spanner in the works by moving next year’s Bank Holiday from Monday May 4th to Friday May 8th – to encourage commemoration of VE Day!
The festival management has now decided to curtail the festival for 2020 to run from Friday 1st evening to Sunday 3rd night.

Volunteers are always needed, see: mayheydays.org.uk/stewards.html
For a modest workload you get a full weekend season with indoor camping available and access to all the programme – available to view on : mayheydays.org.uk/programme.html
