1.2 Bridport Folk Festival 2018

Delighted that the 2nd weekend Bridport Folk Festival will be running this year, over the weekend of 27/28/29th July.

I’ll be popping stuff here that catches my eye, starting with some pre-festival fundraising concerts, but for full information go to: https://www.bridportfolkfestival.com/

The Next Music Quiz
February 15th
The Ropemakers

DJ/Broadcaster/Singer/Musician/ Sound Engineer Pete Robins presents a rather different Music Quiz. Every week for the last 8 years Pete has run a Music Quiz in Wareham and he also takes the Quiz on the road from time to time. Every one of Pete’s Quizzes features a tune for every question, so it’s a fun thing to listen to, even if you don’t know all the answers. Pete’s quizzes are all written specially for the occasion – no tedious YouTube downloads or bought in questions!

What classical composer featured in a Hall and Oates UK Hit?
(Your kiss is on my) Liszt!!

Come and join us – get a team together or play on your own. There will be prizes and loads of fun & music (plus a few awful puns…) See you there!

Phil Beer………

Charming, disarming and exceptionally talented, multi-instrumentalist Phil Beer is something of a national treasure on the folk, roots and acoustic scene. One-half of award-winning powerhouse Show of Hands, Beer is equally in demand for his solo shows. In early 2018 Phil sets out to share some of his most-loved songs at carefully selected venues across the UK. With the odd laugh thrown in for good measure, Beer’s flawless musicianship and rich vocals will leave you wide-eyed and wanting more.
